Labors’ Carbon Tax Backflip
Australians are struggling with increasing cost of living and this is creating increasing pressure in people’s lives.
We now have a Government that has lied to the Australian people and is willing to further increase people’s cost of living by introducing a Carbon Tax.
With electricity prices rising, the Prime Minister’s Carbon Tax will only make Australians’ lives harder.
During the first year of the Carbon Tax, it is estimated that $300 extra will be added to electricity bills on top of other increases.
It could result in petrol prices rising by 6.5c per litre, the increased cost of food, and also, the creation of an uncompetitive work market which will hurt many small to medium businesses.
I will oppose the introduction of a Carbon Tax. I can assure you that, together with my Coalition colleagues, we will fight this tax.
