STATEMENT
I want the people in Forde to know that I was not prepared to support an increase in public funding to political parties.
Ultimately, it is not the Governments money to play with it is the Australian people’s taxes.
The Government can’t be making budget cuts because they are broke and then ask for more money from people who in most cases are doing it just as tough.
An overwhelming number of my constituents have contacted me telling me they did not want me to support the increase and I thank them for taking the time to contact me.
My constituent’s feedback assures me Australians have had enough of their money being wasted by this Labor Government’s reckless spending, debt and deficit.
