“The Labor government have delivered four consecutive budget deficits totalling $167 billion in four year and as a direct result, government debt is set to soar to $136 billion in 2012-14.”
“Australians, including people who live and work in Forde are now borrowing $100 million every day and will have to contribute to $100 million each week to pay down Labor’s debt.”
“Each woman, man and child living in Forde will pay roughly $2000 each year towards these figures.”
The people of Forde will not only be exposed to paying for these debts, they will also face paying increased taxes, increased interest rates, and increases in the cost of living explained Mr van Manen.
“Wayne Swan is asking Australians to believe that he can turn a $37 billion deficit into a surplus by 2012/13.”
“This is a mid year economic update that is attempting to manufacture a budget surplus in 2012/13 but in reality does not exist.”
The coalition delivered surpluses in 10 out of 12 budgets and left this government with a $20 billion budget surplus said Mr van Manen.
“I will be fighting alongside my coalition collleages to return stability, certainty and competency for the people of Forde.”
“We will give hope, reward and opportunity back to the people in Forde.”
