Loganholme based business Holmwood Highgate will have the chance to make valuable connections and seek export opportunities in the European market when they showcase their products at the 2018 Eurosatory tradeshow in Paris.
Holmwood Highgate, located in the Forde electorate specialises in deployable fuel and water modules.
As part of Team Defence Australia, Holmwood Highgate will travel to Paris, France to showcase their capabilities to a wide variety of companies and government and military representatives from Europe and beyond.
Team Defence Australia plays a key role in the implementation of the Government’s Defence Export Strategy by facilitating networking and engagement at international trade shows and access to global supply chain opportunities.
Federal Member for Forde Bert van Manen MP said that the opportunity for businesses such as Holmwood Highgate to attend Eurosatory was a real benefit to the region.
“Accessing export opportunities through defence industry will strengthen our national economic position and help build our industrial base which ultimately contributes to Australian Defence Force capability,” Mr van Manen said.
“Exporting overseas will encourage growth, innovation and employment in Forde and the work of Team Defence Australia at events such as Eurosatory is crucial in achieving these outcomes.
“I look forward to seeing more of our local businesses take advantage of these exciting opportunities to access the defence export market.”
Eurosatory 2018 runs from June 11 to 15, 2018 and is one of the most prominent defence sector events in Western Europe, with the 2016 event attracting more than 57,000 visitors from 140 countries.
