Federal Minister for the Environment and Energy Josh Frydenberg this morning toured C-M Concrete Products and heard about the great environmental work being done by Forde locals employed at the business.
Federal Member for Forde Bert van Manen invited Mr Frydenberg to visit the business, which specialises in the manufacture of pre-cast civil engineering products.
Mr van Manen said it was an excellent opportunity to educate Mr Frydenberg on the environmental civil design initiatives the business promotes.
“Eighty per cent of the business’s products are desgined, developed, researched and tested by the company itself,” Mr van Manen said.
“Their products include gross pollutant trap systems for waterways, beach erosion control structures and stormwater drainage systems as well as pre-cast traffic islands.
“It was great to have these products and initiatives showcased for our Environment Minister this morning and I want to thank Managing Director Phil Thomas for hosting us.”
Mr Frydenberg praised the work being undertaken at the company.
“I commend C-M Concrete Products for the work they are doing in this region,” Mr Frydenberg said.
“As well as being a significant local employer they are leading the way in smart, long-lasting and environmentally friendly urban design strategy.”
