The Australian Government’s Stronger Communities Programme is driving improvements across the Forde region with round three funding recently announced.
Federal Member for Forde Bert van Manen MP said Chisholm Catholic College P&C was one of several successful recipients in his electorate of Forde.
“The P&C has done a great job fundraising for their school and as a result, have been awarded a Stronger Communities grant of $5400 to put towards the cost of new ceiling fans in their gym,” Mr van Manen said.
“As we very well know, Queensland schools can get quite hot and humid in summer, so these ceiling fans will be a great addition to a space that is not only used for sport, but all-school assemblies and Mass.”
The Stronger Communities grant is part of the Coalition Government’s Stronger Communities Programme.
The programme has delivered $150,000 per year over the past three years (2015-2018) to the Forde electorate.
“Projects awarded funding must deliver social benefits to the community and contribute to our community’s long term vibrancy and viability,” Mr van Manen said.
