Logan and Gold Coast councils will benefit from more than $14 million funding in 2015-16 thanks to the Australian Government’s Financial Assistance Program.
Federal Member for Forde, Bert van Manen MP said more than $3.5 million funding had already been paid to Logan and Gold Coast council’s this quarter.
“Councils will have the the flexibility to spend the money according to local priorities, which not only build vital infrastructure but also support local businesses and create jobs in our community.
“Local councillors know what projects need to happen in their local suburbs, and this funding allows them to focus on what’s needed most and where.”
Councils in Forde will receive the following Financial Assistance Grant funding in 2015-16:

Mr van Manen said councils will allocate funds for many different purposes, including roads, kindergartens, libraries, infrastructure, parks and more.
