THE Park Ridge community deserves upgraded sporting facilities to accommodate the increasing population demands of the region.
Young families and our future Olympians deserve the best facilities to foster their sporting goals.
Park Ridge Panthers is one of the fastest growing clubs in the Forde region.
The club has outgrown its current facilities and with projections suggesting the club will exceed 1000 playing members across football, futsal and cricket by 2031, it’s time to expand.
Their home of Hubner Park is due for a major upgrade including clubhouse, expanded car park, storage compound, covered roof over courts, improved pathways site and upgraded spectator seating.
“I will fight for the $6.4 million that is needed from the Federal Government,” Member for Forde Bert van Manen said.
“With support from the club and wider community – I want to demonstrate how necessary this project is for our region.
“Membership across the club is booming and we need the proper facilities to reflect this.
“The $6.4 million will go with Logan City Council’s own contribution toward the expected $12.8 million project cost,” he said.
