These projects include:
- $8 million dollars for Tamborine – Oxenford Road to upgrade the Howard Creek Causeway
- $15.6 million dollars for road safety upgrades to Beenleigh Redland Bay Road between Cornubia and Redland Bay
- $14.4 million dollars for road safety upgrades to Beaudesert Beenleigh Road between Wolffdene and Beaudesert
The Howard Creek Causeway upgrade will improve the safety of the road alignment and intersection layout and increase flood immunity for all road users. Construction is expected to commence later this year and be completed by late 2021.
The road safety upgrades will include treatments such as wide centre lines, audio-tactile line marking, shoulder widening, removing roadside hazards, and safety barriers, to be tailored to suit each location.
