Do you know any students who have demonstrated outstanding skills and commitment in achieving their vocational training while at school?
Nominations for the nationally recognised 2014 Australian Vocational Student Prize (AVSP) opened on 15 October 2014 and close on 28 November 2014.
Reward your Year 12 students who have excelled at practical, vocational training while undertaking their senior secondary studies by nominating them for the AVSP.
Up to 500 students will be awarded a certificate and prize money of $1,000.
Up to 20 of the highest achieving AVSP winners are also eligible for the Australian Award for Skills Excellence in School. Winners of this prestigious award will receive a certificate recognising their outstanding achievement.

These awards are held in high regard around the nation amongst schools and employers.

To be eligible for nomination, students must:
• have completed Year 12 in 2014
• have undertaken a Vocational Education and Training in Schools programme or an Australian School-based Apprenticeship to a minimum Certificate II as part of their senior secondary studies
• have their vocational education and training results recorded on their senior secondary certificate
• be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status.
Nominations must be submitted to the Australian Government Department of Education by 8.00 pm (AEDT) on 28 November 2014.
