The Morrison Government has committed $96.3 million to fix Exit 41 in Yatala and Exit 49 in Pimpama to bust congestion and keep Australians in work. Construction on Exit 41 is due to begin in late 2020 with Exit 49 in the detailed design phase which is expected to complete by late 2021 with construction due to start in mid-2022
As part of the Exit 49 upgrade project, TMR will be undertaking investigation works on the following roads near the interchange:
- Pacific Motorway (M1)
- Attenborough Boulevard
- Rifle Range Road
- Waverley Drive
- Armani Avenue
- Yawalpah Road
- Bull Road
These investigation works will start on Monday 27 April 2020 and continue for up to 3 weeks. Works will predominantly be during the night between 7pm and 5am, Sunday to Thursday with some day works. Work activities will include pavement and geotechnical investigations. Changed traffic conditions will apply, including lane closures and reduced speed limits.
