The Federal Member, Bert van Manen MP hopes the document will give voters the information they need to make a clear choice at the polls on September 14.
“The next election will be the most important election in a generation, said Bert.”
“Our plan is to build a stronger Australia by building a stronger economy, stronger communities, a cleaner environment, stronger borders and more modern infrastructure.”
Bert says on a daily basis he is reminded about the need for improved infrastructure in Forde with the number one local infrastructure issue, the expansion of the M1 between Loganholme to Daisy Hill.
“We also need better parking in the CBD of Beenleigh and the Logan Hospital in addition to improved broadband and telecommunications for local businesses and residents.”
“The Labor Government doesn’t have a plan for improving these issues; their NBN doesn’t even register on the radar in Forde.
“How is a broke Labor Government on its way to a gross debt of $340 billion going to pay to fix the local issues in Forde?”
Bert says he challenges Labor to provide local residents with the same information regarding their plan for the country leading up to the election.
“No one can tell me what a re-elected Labor Government’s policy priorities or directions will be for next week let alone the next three years,” he said.
