Lifeline Australia is celebrating its 60th Birthday this year in 2023. So, yesterday, we got together in Canberra to celebrate the great work that they continue to do in our community each and everyday.
What a weekend of sport in our backyard! I got the chance to be part of the South Logan Magpies Season Launch, then watch the Loganholme Lightning Men and the Berthania Rams Men in action.
It was a very exciting morning attending the sod turning at the site of the new Logan Urgent and Specialist Care Centre. Work has finally commenced on this 33 million dollar legacy investment from the Morrison Government. The facility is due to open in early 2024.
It was an absolute pleasure to be Guest Speaker at the Beenleigh Yatala Junior Chamber of Commerce Breakfast today. 94 students from six schools came together to network, and learn more about the benefits of the BOP Industries Young Business Leaders Program.
This morning, I took my Mobile Office to Sturdee Park at Loganlea. Thanks to those who came out for a chat to discuss issues that are affecting them. Tomorrow, I am at Waterford Plaza from 3-5pm
I swung past Brook RED Beenleigh yesterday to check in on how they are going. Brook Red are a locally peer run service offering support for people experiencing mental health challenges in our community. You can find out more at their website – brookred.org.au.
I dropped past the Loganlea Community Centre this week and donated some items to help them out. They are in desperate need of any non perishable donations that you can spare. These can be dropped to either Loganlea Community Centre or my office.
