Brigalow Country Community Club at Eagleby will be extending their outdoor area thanks to a Turnbull Government Stronger Communities grant.
Federal Member for Forde, Bert van Manen MP said the $13,935 grant would be used to for their patio extension and garden project.
“Brigalow Country Community Club is a fantastic not-for-profit organisation that offers members and friends a warm, friendly environment to learn and practice their music and performance skills, while having fun and making new friends,” Mr van Manen said.
“The club often enjoys entertaining audiences outdoors and they also hire their hall out for functions and events.
“Extending the patio will add much needed space and value to this fantastic community club and I know it will be utilised well by members and visitors.”
Mr van Manen said the grant was awarded through the Coalition Government’s $45 million Stronger Communities Programme.
“This programme will deliver $150,000 per year for two years to my electorate of Forde,” Mr van Manen said.
“Projects awarded funding must deliver social benefits to the community and contribute to our community’s long term vibrancy and viability.”
