The Turnbull Government is helping Aussie businesses become exporters through a new app.
Federal Member for Forde, Bert van Manen MP said the Export Essentials app, now available for Apple and Android devices from app stores, was the first of its kind specifically targeting the export community.
“The app has been developed to help both new exporters and more established businesses,” Mr van Manen said.
“It will help Logan and Northern Gold Coast small and medium enterprises succeed exporting, which creates more jobs and drives economic growth.”
The app covers a range of topics ranging from an introduction to exporting, through to more advanced content such as managing currency risk, finance solutions and export licences and regulations.
It contains a wealth of information, templates and key contacts to help small businesses develop and implement their export strategies and it also provides a comprehensive contact list of organisations to help businesses achieve their export goals.
Mr van Manen said the information in the app would be updated on a regular basis to respond to changes in the local and global environment.
“The app is the latest tool from the Turnbull Government to help small businesses become exporters and take full advantage of the free trade agreements with the three north Asian powerhouse economies of China, Japan and South Korea,” Mr van Manen said.
Export Essentials, developed through a partnership between EFIC (Export Finance and Insurance Corporation) and the Export Council of Australia (ECA), is available free of charge for both Apple and Android devices from their app stores. To find the app simply search for “Export Essentials” in the app store.
