Free legal resources will be made available to community organisations in Forde thanks to a $250,000 Turnbull Government program to fund the delivery of online legal resources.
Federal Member for Forde Bert van Manen MP said the online resources would be made available to better support not-for-profit organisations and volunteers in Forde.
Justice Connect will provide legal support to organisations in Forde to help keep volunteers safe and better manage their operations.
Online resources, including apps, e-learning modules, webinars, and a comprehensive national guide of best practice, will be rolled out later this year.
“Our volunteers in Forde are donating their time and skills to make our communities better,” Mr van Manen said.
“We all owe an enormous debt to our volunteers, and one way to honour that debt is helping the organisations that support volunteers.
“I encourage all volunteer organisations in Forde to access the tools when they become available later in the year.”
The funding was provided as part of the Prime Minister’s Community Business Partnership.
National Volunteer Week runs from 21 to 27 May and honours the contribution of Australia’s volunteers.
