THE Stronger Communities Programme supports a commitment to deliver social benefits in communities across Australia by funding projects in each of the 151 Federal electorates.
The program provides grants for community projects to strengthen and benefit local communities and is part of the Government’s 2024-25 Budget initiatives.
“Whether in Government or Opposition, I’ve been lucky enough to secure considerable funds for my community through this funding initiative,” Member for Forde, Bert van Manen said.
“From Shailer Park State School P&C through to Nightlight Homeless Services in Beenleigh, it has been an honour to provide vital funding to dozens of groups across the Forde electorate.
“I would encourage every local community group, club or organisation to look into the particulars of the funding and consider applying,” he said.
The key aspects of the program are as follows:
- Applications must be returned to the Forde electorate office by 5pm Friday, February 14.
- There is $22.65 million available to support infrastructure projects that provide social benefits for local communities across the country.
- The program provides grants between $2,500 to $20,000.
- A maximum of 20 projects will be funded in each electorate.
- Round 9 project activities must directly align and give effect to at least one of the objectives of the program and be one or more of the listed activities within the Grant Opportunity Guidelines.
