Superfast broadband is coming to more than 43,000 homes and businesses in Forde under an accelerated three-year rollout of the National Broadband Network (NBN).
The NBN is powering ahead across Australia with today’s release of a comprehensive construction plan to network 9.5 million premises nationwide.
Federal Member for Forde, Bert van Manen MP said he was thrilled with the accelerated rollout in his electorate, with many residents and businesses excited to join up to superfast internet.
“This latest three year rollout is a huge step forward for the NBN as the company works to speed up the rollout and make the build as cost-efficient as possible,” Mr van Manen said.
“The new rollout plan, which extends out to September 2018, will benefit thousands of residents in Forde, with either Fibre to the Node (FTTN) or Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (HFC) installation.”

“Internet access is important for our community and will transform education, health care and other critical online services,” Mr van Manen said.
“This latest NBN plan demonstrates how the Coalition has cleaned up the NBN mess left by Labor, which would have left many Australians waiting a decade for better broadband.”
Mr van Manen said once connected, the NBN would allow families to stream movies, surf the internet and complete schoolwork online – all at the one time.
“Our Government is delivering the NBN 10 years earlier and billions of dollars cheaper than the previous Labor Government.
“This latest announcement is fantastic news for Forde and I will continue to keep residents informed of the progress of this important project.”
