Suburbs in Logan and the Gold Coast impacted by the flood from ex-Tropical Cyclone Debbie will be able to access additional disaster assistance through the jointly funded Commonwealth-State Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA).
Federal Member for Forde Bert van Manen MP said assistance would be available for personal hardship and distress, removal of debris, personal and financial counselling, as well as grant to support individuals in need.
“The Australian and Queensland Governments are working together to support communities and their local councils to receive the support and assistance they need to recover,” Mr van Manen said.
