Local government and incorporated not-for-profit organisations in Forde can apply for grants of between $5000 and $20,000 under Round 2 of the Coalition Government’s Stronger Communities Programme.
Federal Member for Forde, Bert van Manen MP said the Stronger Communities Programme was about funding small capital projects that would deliver social benefits to the region.
“This is an exciting opportunity for local communities to work with me to identify potential projects which will contribute to the long term vibrancy and viability of our region,” Mr van Manen said.
“I will be establishing a community consultation committee to identify projects and potential applicants for funding.
“Funding must be matched in cash or in-kind on at least a dollar for dollar basis and there’s up to $150,000 available for organisations in my electorate of Forde, so I encourage community groups to contact my office to discuss potential projects.”
Applicants are strongly encouraged to read the Stronger Communities Programme guidelines and frequently asked questions at www.infrastructure.gov.au/funding/scp
