Bert is concerned with issues in the electorate such as infrastructure failing to keep pace with growth, loss of housing affordability, increasing costs of living, small business economic hardship and the environment.
 
Since the 2010 election, Bert has assisted thousands of locals with individual concerns ranging from Centrelink enquiries to immigration support from his office in Beenleigh. In addition to these calls for assistance, Bert has met with a number of community groups to stand up for local issues like VETO's fight against overhead power lines on the Logan River, the Water Quality of the Albert and Logan Rivers, the Beenleigh Town Centre Renewal Plan, a new bridge for the John Muntz causeway, provision for a post office in Upper Coomera. the upgrade of the M1 and the Ormeau Progress Associations fight against local quarries.
 

Bert has also taken a tough stance in favour of National issues like, the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), fair indexation for military superannuants, strengthening our economy, reducing red tape for small and medium enterprise and ongoing financial support for our schools.

 

Bert is also interested in hearing your suggestions and concerns on issues and improvements you think we can make in the Forde community.
